Day One
Fly non-stop from Denver to London.
Day Two
Upon arrival be transported to Windsor Castle, the royal residence of House of Windsor. Recently you have witnessed the Queen being interned in St. George's Chapel. Soak in the history from William the Conqueror, to the most recent reign of Queen Elizabeth. What a way to start our visit to London. Next check in to your hotel and enjoy a free evening. Alan will give you advice on what to see and do.
Day Three
Start your day with a visit to Westminster Abbey. The Abbey is the burial site of more than 3,300 people, usually of prominence in British history: at least 16 monarchs, eight prime ministers (Winston Churchill), poets laureate, actors, scientists, military leaders, and the UNKNOWN WARRIOR . It is a huge history lesson just to walk through the abbey.
After lunch (on your own. We recommend fish and chips), we will witness the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace, official residence of the new King. Enjoy a walking tour in Whitehall and shopping in Piccadilly Square. Tonight enjoy the sights of Big Ben, Parliament and the skyline of London on an evening river cruise on the Thames. What a day!!
Day Four
Visit the Tower of London with its rich history of executions (William Wallace, Henry VI, Queens Anne Boleyn and Catherine Howard, Sir Thomas More, Oliver Cromwell and many more. Alan will take volunteers during your visit.). Make sure you find the Royal Beefeaters and Ravens. The main reason for a visit here is to view the Crown Jewels, which have been so prominent during the Queens funeral.
Next off to St. Paul's Cathedral, where you can feed the birds with Mary Poppins. The afternoon and evening are free. Alan's suggestion is to go to the theater district for a GRAND show.
Day Five
After breakfast (Which always includes beans and stewed tomatoes) you will be transferred to Southampton to Begin your cruise of the Baltic on Celebrity Cruise Line.
Southampton is a bustling port city bursting with history, as well as shopping opportunities, and great restaurants. Located on England’s southern coast, today, the city is largely defined by its universities and retail shopping.
Day Six
While at sea, take the time to recharge before the next adventure. Lounge by the pool, be spoiled at the spa, taste the delicacies or explore the venues on-board, until we arrive in Oslo.
Day Seven
Sail across the Oslo Fjord and you sail back in time to 1050 A.D. This capital city’s lavish history can be uncovered at the Viking Ship Museum and the Kon-Tiki Museum. Cross the drawbridge to the formerly impenetrable Akershus Castle and meander through the famous Vigeland Sculpture Park before returning to the present day.
Day Eight
Whether strolling through blooming flowers in Tivoli Gardens, witnessing the changing of the guard at Amalienborg Palace, or touring Kronborg Castle—the setting of Shakespeare's Hamlet—it's easy to see why Copenhagen grew to become the capital of Denmark. And, if you believe all the survey reports about this cheerful city, not only will you find yourself in one of the most cosmopolitan Nordic capitals on this Copenhagen cruise, but you’ll be elbow to elbow with some of the happiest locals on Earth.
Day Nine
With picturesque townhouses splashed in more color than a box of crayons, this delightful Dutch destination has a real flair for design. As you amble through the streets of Copenhagen you may begin to experience ‘hygge’-- a concept of gentle, soothing coziness, and comfort that’s infused in the lifestyle and culture. The quaint cobblestone streets, scenic landscapes, and charming cafes will attest to the country’s dedication to this concept of welcoming warmth and kindness. Relax on a short boat ride down its waterways passed scenic landmarks old and new. And, depending on the time of year, you may just catch many of the exhibits and works of art on public display in the city parks, gardens, and zoos.
Day Ten
Cruising at Sea
Day Eleven
No fewer than 50 bridges connect this Swedish capital’s 14 islands to its mainland. The country is modern, dynamic, and ever-evolving. It may be liberal and forward-looking when it comes to the collective attitude, but it’s rich in history too. On your Europe cruise, visit the many parks, museums, and palaces or make your way through Gamla Stan, or Old Town, packed with historic buildings, shops, and cafés. The world’s first open-air museum, Skansen, is here, located on the island of Royal Djurgården and there’s the fascinating maritime Vasa Museum in town.
Day Twelve
With a boisterous nightlife, Tallinn stands as one of the most exciting cities of the former Soviet Union. Here, ancient church spires and baroque architecture intermingle with modern glass buildings that echo the many influences and cultures that have left their imprint throughout the centuries. There are so many amazing sites to explore on your Tallinn cruise.
Day Thirteen
Occupying a peninsula and several islands, this capital city's stunning structures surround some of the most spectacular bays you could ever hope to find. Stroll down broad, tree-lined streets, or take in the amazing neo-classically designed architecture in Senate Square.
Day Fourteen
Cruising at Sea
Day Fifteen
If you want to experience Skagen’s formidable outdoor offerings, take a tractor ride to Grenen, the geographical tip of Denmark where the Skagerrak Sea and the Kattegat Sea meet. At the end of your day before gazing into a picturesque sunset, make a stop at the Bolcheriet Candy Shop for a tour on how candies and caramel are created and choose between 32 varieties to satisfy your sweet tooth.
Day Sixteen
Cruising at Sea
Day Seventeen
Today, we arrive back in Southampton after a journey through the Baltics. Transfer back and overnight in London and enjoy some free time this afternoon and evening.
Day Eighteen
