Day One
Travel to Israel!
Day Two
Welcome to Tel Aviv, Israel! Transfer straight to your hotel to rest and overnight.
Day Three
Enter Caesarea, remains of a city founded by Herod, residence of Pontius Pilate and a prison for the apostle Paul. Enter the well-preserved amphitheater overlooking the Mediterranean Sea and hear the story of Paul’s conversion of the Centurion. The scenery begins to change to the beautiful green pastures and the rolling hills of the Jezreel valley as we approach Mount Carmel where the prophet Elijah and the Priests of Baal contested their faith.
Not far away is Megiddo, the tragic site of the ancient bloody battles where nations were won and lost. Upon the same tragic fields a great and terrible last battle Armageddon will be fought. Journey next to Nazareth, the quaint town where the glorious announcement was made “For unto you a Child shall be born." Overnight on the shore of the Sea of Galilee.
Day Four
Mount Tabor is one of the mountains traditionally claimed to be the site of the Transfiguration of Jesus. Here you will feel the peace and calm of this site as you remember Christ meeting with His Father. Stand at the Mt. of Beatitudes were Jesus preached the great Sermon on the Mount.
Next sail on the Sea of Galilee to view the area of Jesus’ early ministry. Finish the day at the Jordan River and rejoice in the Baptism of Christ and hear the words “This is my Beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."
Day Five
Today we leave the Galilee and make our way south through the Jordan River Valley. Our first stop will be at the ancient Tel of Bet She’an where were 6000 years of civilization seems to unfold among the ruins. Here the King of Israel, Saul, met his fate at the hands of Philistines.
Next travel to the lowest point on earth the Dead Sea. Here you will have a chance to float in the Salt Sea. From the desert floor ascend by cable car to the spectacular clifftop fortress of Masada, where a community of over 900 Jews preferred death by their own hands, to the indignity of surrender to the overwhelming Roman forces.
Day Six
Start your day at the Western Wall, the rough, massive stone retaining wall of the second temple. Revered and honored, the Jews wait and pray for the day they will rebuild their final Temple upon these sacred remnants. Above the wall on Mount Mariah is the Islamic Shrine, the Dome of the Rock.
You will next enter the oldest quarter of Jerusalem to visit the pool of Bethesda, the Via Dolorosa with its stations of the cross, and lastly the Church of the Holy Sepulcher.
Day Seven
Today discover the treasures of the Israel Museum and the Shrine of the Book, which houses the Dead Sea Scrolls and the stunning model city of old Jerusalem. One of the most moving sites to visit is Yad Veshem, the official memorial to the 6 million Jews who perished in the holocaust during World War II. Next off to Mount Zion to see Caiaphas house of judgment and the nearby Upper Room.
Day Eight
Start the day off with a special visit to the Garden of Gethsemane at the base of the Mt. of Olives. Enjoy time to reflect on what took place here. Next visit the remarkable BYU Jerusalem center. The full length windows of the chapel reveal a breathtaking view of the old city and the temple mount.
Next is the sacred visit to the Garden Tomb were many come to see that the tomb is empty, HE HAS RISEN.
Day Nine
Today begin your day with a wonderful visit to Bethlehem, and remember the glorious birth of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Here we will sing Christmas carols and glory in the birth of the Son of God. This afternoon enjoy some free time in the old city to shop or explore on your own.
Day Ten
Transfer to the airport for your return to the United States. Thank you for traveling with us, welcome home!
