Day 1: Departure from LAX

Board your flight from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and get ready for an exciting Arctic adventure.

Day 2: Arrival in Tromso

Welcome to Tromso, a picturesque city located in the heart of the Norwegian Arctic. As you arrive in the evening, you'll be captivated by the mystical ambiance of this northern wonderland. Tromso is known for its stunning natural beauty and rich cultural heritage.

Day 3: Exploring Tromso & Northern Lights

Enjoy a free morning to acclimate yourself to the charming city of Tromso. In the afternoon, embark on a cultural journey by visiting the iconic Tromso Cathedral and immersing yourself in the fascinating exhibits of the Polar Museum, which showcases the history of Arctic exploration. Experience breathtaking panoramic views of Tromso from the Fjellheisen cable car, taking you to the top of Mount Storsteinen. As night falls, brace yourself for an unforgettable experience as you chase the mesmerizing Northern Lights.

Day 4: Sami Culture and Reindeer Adventure

After a well-deserved rest, embark on a captivating tour of Sami culture. Learn about the indigenous Sami people, their ancient traditions, and their close relationship with reindeer. Enjoy a reindeer sleigh ride through the snowy landscapes, immersing yourself in the tranquility of the Arctic wilderness.

Day 5: Camp Tamok: Dog Sled Ride OR Snowshoeing, Ice Domes, and Reindeer Visit

Embark on an exhilarating adventure to Camp Tamok, a winter wonderland nestled in the Arctic wilderness. Experience the thrill of dog sledding through snow-covered trails, led by friendly and energetic huskies OR you can snowshoe (or just relax at the camp). Explore the enchanting Ice Domes, marveling at their intricate ice sculptures. Get up close and personal with reindeer, learning about their unique characteristics and the Sami people's connection to these magnificent creatures.

Day 6: Fly to Bergen

Bid farewell to Tromso as you board a flight to Bergen, a charming city surrounded by majestic fjords and mountains. Upon arrival, immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of this historic city. Take a leisurely stroll through the colorful streets, discover the local cuisine, and soak in the beauty of the surrounding landscapes.

Day 7: Fjord Exploration and Waterfall Wonders

Embark on a breathtaking journey through the Norwegian fjords, marveling at their grandeur and natural beauty. Get up close to multiple waterfalls, experiencing the sheer power and misty embrace of these cascading wonders. Alongside the Hardangerfjord, one of the most scenic fjords in Norway, your knowledgeable guide will share fascinating stories and insights into the region. Indulge in a Norwegian snack pack and, depending on the season, savor in-season and local fruits. Make a stop in the famous village of Voss, where you can wander around, shop for souvenirs, and savor the local cuisine.

Day 8: Half-Day Fjord Tour on Catamaran

Embark on a half-day catamaran tour, sailing through the awe-inspiring fjords of Bergen. Relax on deck and soak up the panoramic views as you navigate through pristine waters surrounded by towering cliffs and majestic mountains. Capture memorable photographs of the stunning landscapes and breathe in the fresh mountain air.

Day 9: Train from Bergen to Oslo

Today, you will take one of the most scenic train rides in the world from Bergen to Oslo!

Day 10: Departure or fly to Denmark!

It's time to bid farewell to Norway. Take an early flight back home from Oslo and arrive same day with the time change, or fly to Copenhagen, Denmark to continue your journey! Upon arrival in the vibrant city of Copenhagen, you will be welcomed and transferred to your accommodation. Begin your exploration with a visit to the Christiansborg Palace, where you’ll marvel at the grandeur of the Royal Reception Rooms, still used by the Danish monarchy for official events. Afterward, relax and take in the picturesque views of the city as you glide down the tranquil canals of Copenhagen on a boat tour, offering a unique perspective of the city's historic architecture and charming waterfront.

Day 11: Copenhagen

Start your day with a visit to the Church of Our Lady, the national cathedral of Denmark, renowned for its serene atmosphere and the stunning sculptures of Jesus and the 12 apostles by Bertel Thorvaldsen. Next, travel to Roskilde to explore the Roskilde Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage site and the final resting place of many Danish monarchs. Delve into the seafaring history of the Vikings at the Viking Ship Museum, where you can see well-preserved Viking ships and learn about their legendary voyages. Conclude your day at Rosenborg Castle, a Renaissance-era castle surrounded by beautiful gardens, housing the crown jewels and royal regalia.

Day 12: Copenhagen

Begin your day by visiting the iconic Little Mermaid statue, a symbol of Copenhagen inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s famous fairy tale. Continue your journey to the magnificent Frederiksborg Castle, the largest Renaissance castle in Scandinavia, set amidst a picturesque lake and gardens. On your way to Kronborg Castle, make a brief stop outside Fredensborg Castle, the Danish Royal Family’s spring and autumn residence. End the day with a visit to Kronborg Castle, famously known as Elsinore in Shakespeare’s "Hamlet," where you can explore the grand halls and fortifications of this UNESCO World Heritage site.

Day 13: Day Trip to Malmö and Lund, Sweden

Embark on a scenic day trip across the Øresund Bridge to Sweden, starting with a visit to the city of Malmö. Explore the Malmö Rådhus (City Hall), an architectural gem located in the city's main square. Stroll through Lilla Torg, a charming square filled with lively cafés and historic buildings, perfect for soaking in the local atmosphere. Afterward, visit the Turning Torso, a modern architectural marvel that twists into the sky, offering striking views of the city.

Next, head to the historic town of Lund, known for its rich academic and religious history. Visit the Lund Cathedral, a stunning Romanesque structure that stands as one of the most important religious buildings in Sweden. Take a leisurely walk through the picturesque Jakriborg, a modern housing development built in the style of a medieval town, offering a unique blend of history and contemporary living. Return to Copenhagen in the evening, enriched by the blend of Danish and Swedish culture.

Today you depart back to the United States. Welcome Home!
