Travel to New Zealand and get ready for your big adventure! (Cross the International Dateline)

 

July 17

Upon arrival in Auckland, take a shuttle from the airport to your hotel. Explore key attractions in the city, including the Sky Tower and Auckland Waterfront, before checking in and relaxing at Sudima Auckland City.

 

July 18

Drive from Auckland to Waitomo, enjoying scenic views along the way. Visit the Waitomo Glowworm Caves on a guided tour of the stunning caves illuminated by glowworms. Continue your journey to the Hobbiton Movie Set and experience the iconic film set, including a visit to the Green Dragon Inn. Drive to Rotorua and check in at Sudima Lake Rotorua, where you can enjoy views of Lake Rotorua.

 

July 19

Explore Te Puia’s geothermal features and learn about Maori culture, including a live cultural performance. Take a gondola ride at Skyline Rotorua for breathtaking views and optional luge rides. Discover other local attractions in Rotorua, such as the Rotorua Museum or the Polynesian Spa, before returning to Sudima Lake Rotorua for the night.

 

July 20

Transfer to Rotorua Airport for your flight to Queenstown, enjoying stunning aerial views along the way. Upon arrival, check in at the Copthorne Hotel Queenstown Lakefront, located near the lake.

 

July 21

Enjoy a full day at leisure in Queenstown, with options for activities such as bungee jumping, jet boating, or simply relaxing at local cafes.

 

July 22

Drive from Queenstown to Te Anau, taking in the scenic landscapes, and check in at the Distinction Luxmore Hotel Te Anau.

 

July 23

Drive from Te Anau to Milford Sound for a picturesque journey, followed by a scenic cruise through the stunning fjord landscapes, spotting waterfalls and wildlife. Return to Te Anau to unwind at your hotel.

 

***Those not doing the extension will go to Queenstown and overnight, and fly and arrive home on the 24th of July.***

 

July 24

Drive from Te Anau to Invercargill, then take a short flight to Stewart Island. Check in at the South Sea Hotel and relax.

 

July 25

Stay at Bay Motel Stewart Island and enjoy your accommodations. Take a guided Village & Bays Tour to explore the island’s beautiful bays and history, then visit Ulva Island, a predator-free sanctuary with native wildlife. End the day with a self-cooked Kiwi BBQ dinner and a guided kiwi spotting tour at night.

 

July 26

Spend a full day at leisure on Stewart Island, with opportunities to hike, fish, or relax on the beach.

 

July 27

Drive from Invercargill to Dunedin, traveling north. Enjoy brief sightseeing in Dunedin, visiting attractions like the Dunedin Railway Station and Baldwin Street. Check in and enjoy your evening at the Distinction Hotel Dunedin.

 

July 28

Transfer to Dunedin Airport for your flight to Christchurch. Upon arrival, explore central Christchurch, including the Botanic Gardens and ReMall. Stay the night at the Distinction Hotel Christchurch.

 

July 29

Transfer from your hotel to the airport for your flight home. Thank you for traveling with us!
