Day Six

Awake  early in the morning for an unforgettable sunrise tour of Mount Bromo. Travel by 4WD jeep to a viewing spot with stunning views of the Bromo volcano and its surroundings. Watch the sun as it rises up from behind the volcano in Penanjakan. The result is a spectacular display of nature the likes of which can scarcely be found anywhere else on the planet. Continue by jeep down to the volcano caldera, often still covered by mist in the early morning. The mist, combined with the grey ashen-covered ground create an otherworldly atmosphere, often compared to the surface of the moon.A 20-minute optional ride on miniature horseback heads to a set of stairs which lead to the rim of the still-active Bromo crater and an incredibly surreal experience. This afternoon, you will take a quick flight to Bali! (B)
