Day 1: July 28 - Departure from Salt Lake City (SLC)

Your African adventure begins today as you depart from Salt Lake City, Utah. Arrive at SLC Airport well in advance of your departure time to allow for check-in and security procedures.

 

Day 2: July 29 - Arrival in Johannesburg

Upon your arrival at O.R. Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg, South Africa, you'll be met by your knowledgeable guide who will assist you throughout your journey. Your guide will escort you to the conveniently located City Lodge Hotel at the airport, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free check-in process.

Hotel Check-In and Relaxation: After checking in at the City Lodge, take some time to unwind in your comfortable room and freshen up after your flight. You'll have the afternoon at leisure to rest and prepare for your upcoming adventures. (B)

 

Day 3: July 30 - Johannesburg to Victoria Falls

Enjoy a delicious breakfast at your hotel before checking out. Your guide will accompany you to the terminal building for your onward flight to Victoria Falls. Flight to Victoria Falls: You will board a flight to Victoria Falls Airport (VFA). The flight will provide you with stunning views as you approach your next destination. Upon arrival at Victoria Falls Airport, you will be met and assisted with your transfer to The Victoria Falls Safari Lodge. In the evening, embark on a magical sunset cruise on the Zambezi River, where you can relax, take in the breathtaking scenery, and perhaps catch a glimpse of wildlife along the riverbanks. (B & D)

 

Day 4: July 31 - Exploring Victoria Falls

After breakfast, embark on a guided tour of the awe-inspiring Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. Your knowledgeable guide will provide insights into the history and significance of this remarkable landmark.

Following the tour, you'll have some free time for shopping in the local markets and souvenir shops. Enjoy a delicious lunch at the Lookout Café, offering scenic views of the Batoka Gorge and Zambezi River. The afternoon is at your leisure, allowing you to explore further or relax at the lodge. In the evening, experience a traditional Boma dinner featuring local cuisine and entertainment, providing a true taste of Zimbabwe. (B,L,D)

 

Day 5: August 1 - Victoria Falls to Kasane, Botswana

Start your day with a hearty breakfast at the lodge before checking out. You'll be transferred by road to Kasane, Botswana, where you'll check in at Chobe Bush Lodge and enjoy a delicious lunch at the lodge. In the afternoon, embark on a scenic sunset cruise on the Chobe River, known for its abundance of wildlife. Keep your camera ready for amazing wildlife sightings. Savor dinner at your lodge, surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness. (FB)

 

Day 6: August 2 - Exploring Chobe National Park

Rise early for an exciting morning game drive in Chobe National Park, known for its rich diversity of wildlife. Keep your eyes peeled for elephants, lions, leopards, and a wide array of other animal species. Return to the lodge for a delicious breakfast. The rest of the morning is yours to relax or explore at your own pace. Later enjoy a leisurely lunch at the lodge.

In the afternoon, embark on another thrilling game drive, providing additional opportunities to observe the incredible wildlife. As the sun sets, indulge in a delightful dinner at your lodge. (FB)

 

Day 7: August 3 - Chobe River Safari and Transfer to Okavango Delta

Kickstart your day with a private boat safari on the Chobe River. This unique experience offers a chance to encounter wildlife from a different perspective, including elephants, hippos, and an array of birdlife. Enjoy a scrumptious breakfast at the lodge. After breakfast, check out from Chobe Bush Lodge. You will be transferred to Kasane Airport for a small plane flight to Moremi Crossing Lodge in the Okavango Delta. Upon arrival at Moremi Crossing, you will have lunch at the lodge and some time to settle in. Engage in an afternoon activity, which might include a guided nature walk, mokoro (traditional dugout canoe) excursion, or a game viewing activity, depending on the lodge's offerings. Relish a delicious dinner at the lodge while surrounded by the serene beauty of the Okavango Delta. Day 8: August 4 - Okavango Delta Exploration

Begin your day with an exciting morning safari activity, which could involve game drives, nature walks, or other activities to explore the remarkable Okavango Delta ecosystem. Return to the lodge for a delectable breakfast. The middle of the day is yours to enjoy leisure activities, take in the surroundings, or simply relax. Savor a satisfying lunch at the lodge.

In the afternoon, participate in another captivating activity, immersing yourself in the Delta's natural wonders. As the day comes to a close, dine at the lodge and share stories of your wildlife encounters. (FB)

 

Day 9: August 5 - Farewell to Botswana and Return Home

Make the most of your last morning in the Okavango Delta with a final safari activity. Later depart for your flight home.
